For some reason my bolts are 9/16". The Bilstein sleeves are 1/2". I'm guessing that when I had them installed years ago, the installer just took the sleeves out of my old shocks and installed them in to the new shocks. Im just having a hard time trying to find the correct size sleeves.
Trying to replace my shocks. Took one off and found out that the exact replacement has a smaller bushing sleeve that won't allow the bolt to pass through. What are my options? Already contacted Bilstein, they only said they are not an exact replacement part. The installer (15 years ago) wasn't...
When I first got my 6"lift, 34.5 x 16 tires, it rode like stock. After years of abuse, parts worn out, etc, it's far from that. My point is maybe you have other issues that need to be addressed. Going lower may not solve your driveability concerns.
Is anybody with a lift running remote reservoir shocks? There was someone who posted pics but I think it was only in the rear. Most sights say for XL , 2500 or won't fit.
Maybe I'm not understanding your post but you're supposed to be in N when you change to 4H ,4L, and back to 2H. As for Auto, the only time I used it, I engaged it while climbing a hill then I lost my front diff. The fork got bent I assume it's because I was moving while it kicked in. I know...
It's mainly outside but in patrial shade. I always date and write the mileage on the filter when I change the oil and last time it was a year old with only a few hundred miles. Yea, probably at least once a year should be OK. Heck it's probably time to do it!
