Transfer case cracked?!??!
Hey guys. been a while... since replacing the front diff, Rear end, and transfer case I've put roughly only 500 miles on the truck... I ended purchasing a toyota sienna and going back to the ****...lol anyway, while it was in the garage I noticed my blue fluid on the floor... I crawled...- D is for DENALI

Expected transmission life span
I purchased my denali and it had the trans with 1,2 slip at 175k.. replaced it with a tow/vette model trans, and now it has 193k and drives like a dream(I also recently rebuilt my front diff,tc,and rear end, so that helps alot too lol) But while it was being rebuilt, I flushed the trans fluid...- D is for DENALI

What's your Tahoe to-do list for the Holiday Break?
Well my last week has been nuts... me and my mechanic friend completely rebuilt the front differential(bearings,seals,small parts ,gasket), complete transfer case rebuild( bearings, seals, chain,small parts, gasket), and also completely rebuilt the rear end as well(pinion seal, axle seals, axle...- D is for DENALI

How much fuel do you take?
I still live in a town where you park, grab the pump, hit the gas option , and wait for them inside to turn it on.. population 643, merica...love it So i pay cash often, and it's always to the nearest .50... I never push the tank capacity, too many things to mess up for only 15 miles...- D is for DENALI

I understand, the cenex by me has 93 for that price... I didn't intend for posters to read it as a sams fuel, just that the cheapest 93 top tier is 2.67...,:cool:- D is for DENALI

Rear windshield washer just quit.
Changed both my motors, 03 xl denali, rear wouldn't work and the passenger front only sorta pissed on the windshield as opposed to spraying... With motors replaced, the took off the splitter connection( it's right along the driver side hood line) and sprayed both the front and rear and made...- D is for DENALI

Won’t start when colder than 25 degrees
Now the difference in price is 34 cents per gallon...(87 to 91) .34 x 27 gallons= 9.18 difference every tank My mpg gos from 13.5 to 14.5/8 using 87 to 91... avg 1 mpg... so 27 extra miles= roughly 2 gallons of gas= $4.66... 9.18 - 4.66= roughly 4.50 more per tank after adding in extra miles...- D is for DENALI

Throttle body acting up
Well after going thru my receipts I found that it was not a ac Delco part, it was a dorman part... it was one of my only purchases to this truck that was not oe replacement... This part is for an 03 yukon xl denali 6.0 Here is what I got... Drilled out the rivets on the throttle body...- D is for DENALI

Throttle body acting up
I had a whole new pigtail that connects to the throttle body rewired, and sanded my big 3 grounds, and my reduced engine power went away all together... Would do it at low throttle, sometimes before the engine even started , it would right into it... have to wait and restart it and it would be...- D is for DENALI

BELT TENSIONER, IDLER, ? CHATTER
Yes, that's why they put 2 belts in my opinion, so if the a.c. went put somehow you could cut the belt and still have a serp belt to drive on... If the defroster is on, the ac kicks on at any temp, its trying to blow dry air... I had that chatter and it was a bad compressor that wouldn't the...- D is for DENALI

Front diff is around 2 quarts to hit the fill plug line Rear diff is around 2.7 quarts to plug line T case is around 1.6 quarts to plug line For rear diff, take off the 'filler' plug, and put the head of an Allen key in there, or your pinky finger if it's small enough... when you push down...- D is for DENALI

Advice on Yukon XL Denali
Service history is very important on denalis... If they did not take care of them, the diffs, t- case, even the trans, could need more than just some new fluid... If you buy it, plan on doing a $300 tune up.. fuel filter, air filter, radiator flush, engine flush, plugs, wires, diff fluid...- D is for DENALI

Best $150 mods
I feel it adds a little more throttle response from a stop, it's responsive and snappier when towing, and it adds a audible growl letting you know it's there.. Layman's, it's more awake... not 'tuned' awake, but it's a start...lolz- D is for DENALI
