Throttle body acting up

I've been having problems with my throttle body for a while. When I go get start my tahoe it gives me the reduced engine power message. Once I go under the hood and unplug the throttle body for about 5 seconds and plug it back in the message goes away and all is will. Now yesterday I went and replaced the throttle body and boom it's doing the same thing. Now when I but the throttle body on I didn't unhook the negative cable if I should have.

Might be the plug itself. The copper inside is known to break without damage, visually, to the outer insulation. By you unplugging then plugging it back in probably just resets it.

EDIT: When I said plug, I was referring to the wires coming from/to it. The pigtail.

The problem you are encountering could be caused by a broken wire to the throttle body from the control module. I think the module is mounted on the firewall next to the left hood hinge. You may have to carefully remove the wires from the loom on the right side of the intake manifold. Inspect the yellow wire for an internal break. The wire will feel limp in a location of a break. Inspect all the wires in the harness to the tps and throttle body the same way.

I would second that possibility based on the shotgun shell of codes thrown

I had a whole new pigtail that connects to the throttle body rewired, and sanded my big 3 grounds, and my reduced engine power went away all together...

Would do it at low throttle, sometimes before the engine even started , it would right into it... have to wait and restart it and it would be fine... but having to pull over on the side of the freeway doing 75 on cruise and all of a sudden, BING!!, I lose power, and have to pull over and do a restart, pissed me off...

Could be those other things, but i bought a ac Delco pigtail and it fixed my issues..

How much was the pigtail? Gm wanted $168 Just for that. I bought an aftermarket. But I'm still having issues. Have a link?

Well after going thru my receipts I found that it was not a ac Delco part, it was a dorman part... it was one of my only purchases to this truck that was not oe replacement...

This part is for an 03 yukon xl denali 6.0

Here is what I got...

Drilled out the rivets on the throttle body, installed new tps with bolt ons, rewired the pigtail, clasped them together and heatshrunk the sleeves to tighten the moisture barrier, sanded the grounds on the motor, battery terminal, firewall, and voila, my check engine light eventually went away after a few drive cycles and never came back on, along with my reduced engine power limp mode never happened again...

Obviously disconnect your battery first...lol

I would also like to add that while doing this work, it's a great time to get that tb and Maf cleaner out and use some of it.. a fuel/air detailing, of a sort.. air clean and scrub out the filter( or clean,dry, and reoil) make sure its all dialed when it gos back in..

New battery terminal bolts never hurt anyone either...

That price is sensor and pigtail? Not bad. I did the pigtail, which looks exactly like the one in the pic, and eventually I did the complete throttle body. I still get the reduced power, but if I mess with the plug it goes away.

Mine looks exactly like that one, white wires and all, but way cheaper. As a matter of fact, the one from GM uses all white wires too. The one I bought uses aluminum wire. I'm not sure what GM uses.

GM uses copper
