Weird, these measure 11.5" across the tread and are 32.8" tall. My fender to ground measurements are 36" in front and 37.5" in the rear. There's only the slightest bit of rubbing on the drivers front where the washer bottle sits.
Well its been quite while, I guess a baby will do that lol. I've been able to do a few things to the Black Pearl over the past year or so. Most notably is the new wheels and tires. I picked up some bronze Method Double Standards in 17x9 and some Falken Wildpeak AT3/W in 285/70/17. I'm over the...
New Wheels and Tires for the Yukon this week. Went with a 17X9 Method Double Standard and Falken Wildpeak AT3/W in 285/70/17. Swapped in some Pro Comp keys and turned the bars up a bit. I wasn't able to get enough lift out of it to not rub. I'm trying to source some lower mileage torsion bars.
I agree, I'm going to open up the headlight switch and see if I can see anything. I did an LED swap a year or so ago . Not sure if an LED leg broke off and caused an issue. The socket for the fuse is in good shape.
I went back to the truck with a flashlight and pliers, started pulling fuses and found that “TBC 2A” 15a fuse was blown. This one is in the interior fuse block on the Drivers side of the dash. Swapped a new one in and we’re good to go. Adding a screen cap that has the fuse highlighted for anyone...
Hi All,
Last night driving home I noticed that all my dash lights went out. The cluster still working and the warning lights still work. The LED screen in the cluster and the HVAC still work so I think it’s the illumination circuit. Ive been looking and don’t see an illumination fuse. Is it...
Took another look at it and it was indeed the Alternator. Jumped the truck and brought it up to 2000 rpm and Alt was only putting out 8.368vdc. Swapped out with a new unit and we are good to go.
Hey guys,
A friend of min has a 2005 Denali and a few days ago had a no crank no start situation. He asked me to help and I found that the battery was only holding 2.63vdc. I thought easy peasy a new battery later and we are good to go. He just called me today saying he has the same issue. I...
Got the Spohn control arms installed this weekend! The full install only took 2ish hours. While it was all apart I also installed some new parking brake shoes as the old ones were seriously smoked. So Far I'm happy with the controls arms, Spohn calls for 75ft/lbs of torque for the intall but...
Remove the PASS rear cover in the cargo area. You will see the Control module there mounted to the floor of the cab. There is a large ORANGE Wire that is the 12+ feed. Disconnect the battery and then snip the wire(I put some connectors on the ends of the wire to protect it for futrue use when I...
Scored a great Craigslist com up today. Spohn upper and lower Del-sphere control arms for $300! Had to drive a ways to pick them up but met a super cool GMT800 enthusiast. Going to order up the track bar soon and get the whole package installed.
I ended up ordering the Viper 5806V along with the Fortin Evo-All module as a bypass. I went with the Fortin module because it allows for control of defroster and heated seats when the cabin temp is under a certain temp. I still need to order up a tilt sensor, and shock sensor.
Right now I am looking at shock, tilt, and motion sensors. Along with a backup battery and a siren. Down the road I am planning on installing the Smart Start GPS module in it for extra piece of mind.
