    We pulled the trans before last winter and re- rebuilt it and just threw it back in, and everything shifts good! our problem was in the 3-4 pack, factory style plates we’re supposed to have 6 plates, we ordered thinner plates that required 9. And I only threw in 6 so that was my issue, thanks...

    Sorry it took me so long, i finally was able to find a scanner that worked, so it does command it to go to 3rd then it will go into 4th and when its commanded into 4th it actually drives normal, would this mean i tore one of the small white teflon seals on the shaft?     i got a 2007 Chevy Tahoe 5.3. It started the 1st time I drove it after the rebuild, it will shift into 2nd perfect then when it tries going into 3rd the rpm’s shoot up to 4500-5000 and come back down( id assume it’s still in 2nd) I only did it 3 times that way bc I didn’t wanna worsen anything...
