Had to have our AFM lifters replaced around 150-160K. Now have almost 200K on it. Need to see if my friend at the dealership can do the delete instead of having to get a tune since my wife drives it just to take the kids to school 95% of the time. Other 5% is pulling our 24 foot enclosed trailer.
How would I know if I just need to add the 3 oz of pag for sure? Is there a way I can check the accuumulator to see if it has oil?
Just trying to figure this all out before I put on the compressor, so I know how much and if I need to add more oil or what before closing the system up
OK I might do that. Yeah I had to replace the condenser after I put a whole through it last week. It drained all the freon out of course and some oil came out since it was all over the lower bumper.
Then 2 days later the clutch on the AC compressor went out after I refilled the freon, but...
Damn so i cant just add it all to the compressor and it go where it needs?
How much do i need to put where? Since i added a new compressor and a new condenser i need to add 14 oz?
Also i was told to drain the new compressor of the oil in it already, is that right
I had to replace our ac condenser after I punctured it putting in our transmission cooler. I didnt think about replacing the pag fluid as i really didnt even know about it. Well of course our compressor shot shit 2 days ago so now i will be replacing it. How much pag oil do i need to put in...
I had a question and figured it would be more responses here.
I live in Kansas and it gets to around 0 degrees sometimes in the winter and below that with the wind chill. I was going to get a 40K cooler and didn't know if I should actually get the bypass or not.
I read that the bypass will...
ah ok. I read on the bypass for the 40 that is passes the cooler til it warms to 180 degrees.....it would probably never reach that in the winter so it will always bypass the cooler
I found one with a bypass for only 30 bucks more, so I might just go with it. Can't be that hard to put the bypass in and snug it tight somewhere.
Vermtown - Did you go with the TruCool 40K like everyone else?
It gets to the teens or lower on some days. What would be the bad to not get a bypass? We got a 24 footer and with about an hour of driving, trans temp got as high as 225 on a 90 degree day....so we definitly need a cooler.
Ours didn't come with a stock cooler, so do I just get the one plug...
We are looking at a 20 and a 24 foot enclosed trailer. Our yukon has the 3.73 gears in it and I would be adding the trailer braking system and a transmission cooler. I have a few questions though...
Will our yukon be able to pull the weight of the trailer, plus about 4-6 atvs inside? We live...
Yeah, Its Kansas lol. We went from almost 98 and 90% humidity to a cold front come through and came down to like 80 with almost no humidity. We have crazy ass weather here.
So I error on the side of caution with winter. It will be in the garage, but I know the wife will only drive it to take...
