I ran some k line thru to get me to the weekend and it hasnt sipped a drop of water since. It runs better and gets better mileage. Not sure whats next but we'll see
So over the last two weeks or so I've been losing coolant at about a gallon every 120 miles. I had a rough morning idle and some white smoke so I thought changing the intake gaskets would do the job. I drive about 200 miles a day so it took me a few weekends to get around to it. I dove in this...
I had this happen to me and it was the throttle body. At first it started stalling but would always start right back up and run until I gave it gas then I'd have to really gas it. Then it started bucking and stalling while underway and got harder to start. I cleaned the throttle body with...
Ok, I've changed out the vent valve and the purge solinoid and I still have the click. I also have a strong gas smell everytime I fill up. Any suggestions?
Just a quick update:
I had the tee replaced along with a full tune up and the truck is running great! My miss at idle isn't a miss but low idle rpms (500). My mechanic suggested that it is being caused by needing a more evap canister. We'll see, he hasn't been wrong yet.
thats what got my attention. My low coolant light came on and I saw smoke from under the hood. The fitting was leaking on the valve cover and the coil.....wait............this might explain my miss at idle if it was leaking on the coil. The leak was like a sink faucet that was just barely open...
Well this has me a little confused. I thought my coolant loss was due to me needing a water pump but now I'm thinking differently. My symptoms are some condensation and white smoke on start up that goes away after a few mins, coolant loss and a miss at idle. I'm thinking the smoke is either...
Just to make sure I'm reading this right. I can install a DD HU in my 02 Yukon without making any major changes to the dash? If it wont clear the factory mount I can just cut/remove it with no repercussions?
I had my mechanic check out my stumble yesterday and he said it wasnt mechanical but it was the timing getting settled by the computer. Mine pings once on startup and then stumbles for a moment before smoothing out. He says the computer needs a second to catch up but its nothing to worry about
