Need ATF exchange information for 2015 Tahoe

Wanted to follow up on this in case anyone comes looking for this info. Everything I found online and ChatGPT said the return line was #2 on the passenger side. I can confirm with 100% certainty that is not the case on my Tahoe, and it was not fun to clean up. It turned out to be #2 on the...

What size washers did you use? I took a bracket bolt with me to Lowe's to try to figure out what size. I was looking at the grade 8 washers and it seemed like 1/2" was slightly too small and 9/16" might be slightly too big...of course.

I guess fear was the wrong word. Was just hoping not to use them at all just to keep the install cleaner. Grinding down is an option, although I question that some bc why was it there in the first place if it's unnecessary?

Wheel spacers is one thing I'm afraid of. I don't want to have to do that. I have 22" OEM wheels, not even sure what style they are, but I'm hoping I don't have to use any spacers with them.

Need ATF exchange information for 2015 Tahoe

I'm about to do an ATF exchange, pan drop, filter change, etc. on my 2015 Tahoe. I've done this before on this vehicle (4 years ago) and my 2010 Avalanche, but didn't take any notes or pictures along the way. Now I can't remember which line I pulled to do the exchange. I have the brass adapter...

Fans run like the engine is overheating, coolant gauge reads no temperature, A/C disengaged.

MF! Got this problem again. Already replaced the temperature sensor and got a new battery (unrelated), and now the fans are humming again. Looks like I'll go down the route of getting a new thermostat. Question for anyone who has done this: do you know if it will pass emissions while this is...

What do you do about the sensor wire? Looks like these pads don't have squealers, but have a pad sensor built in maybe.

Yeah, it's definitely an upgrade. But in the grand scheme of things, it's another item on the TODO that's 8 miles long and seems to never get shorter. Such is life.

I just looked up the OEM caliper part numbers for my 2010 Avalanche and it's the same as my wife's 2015 Tahoe, so looks like I could do this swap on my truck too. Like I need more projects on the list.

I hadn't even thought about looking for take offs. I see a couple near me for around $500. Not quite a steal, but a little better than brand new from RockAuto.

Silverado 4 Piston Caliper upgrade done

Oh wow, that's awesome. That's where I am too as far as bang for the buck. RockAuto didn't mind that you were sending back calipers for a different vehicle? As long as it's just a small spacer that just slides in there I'll be ok. My son's 4runner has huge spacers on it and it's a royal pain...

Silverado 4 Piston Caliper upgrade done

Yeah, I read through that thread. I would love to do that upgrade, but cost is the limiting factor on that one for a 2015 with 233k miles on it. Honestly I'll probably just end up going with my normal powerstop replacements. Now that I think about it, not sure I want to give her any more reason...

Silverado 4 Piston Caliper upgrade done

I'm trying to understand this. So you got calipers for a 2021 Silverado and put them on your '15-'20 Tahoe or Silverado? And they're just OEM calipers? What about rotors and pads? Just any choice of 2021 rotors and pads? Am I reading this correctly that the only "mod" you did was to grind down...

What vehicle did you do this on? Any modifications besides painting? My wife's 2015 Tahoe needs new front brakes and I'd love to upgrade. She drives like she's in an F1 race and eats through brakes. Wondering if this would help her out at all.

Torn cv axle boot, 3" lift, replace with OEM or extended travel axles?

Went to do the front brakes on my 2010 Avalanche today and found the driver side cv axle boot completely torn. So I decided to wait on the brakes until I fix the axle so I don't get grease or whatever all over the new brake parts. So, my question is if I should go with OEM or extended travel cv...
