My review on EBC Greenstuff 7000 pads

I threw a set of slotted rotors on mine with some hawk pads. I noticed better cold braking but it's even more noticeable when they heat up. I also think my ABS unit needs to be replaced. Initial brake is spongy but subsequent braking seems firm. Good thing I didn't waste my money on those EBC pads.

    Pulled over for hids

Sounds like your being the "DICK." You broke the law, got caught, and want to continue to break the law? Especially after getting a warning. He was probably being a dick because he caught you head on and was seeing spots, thanks to your lights. I'll bet you never had your lights readjusted after...

    Barn doors

I'll get you some pics soon, its been hectic at work. It does help to have a door pin removal tool and a big hammer. Mine isn't rotting out, just sticking and it's the DS door too.

    Converting to power windows help.

There is an aftermarket kit for hot rods that uses the original window crank as the up /down lever. Once the regulator is mounted to the door, the control mounts in place of the old crank. Just an idea to keep from completely redoing the door panels and installing the controls.

    Barn doors

I'm about to replace the pins and bushings on my Kon. In order to replace the doors you have to knock the pins out or cut through the welds on the cover over the hinge bolts on the body. GM welded a piece of metal over the hinge bolts. I've dropped atleast 4 screws in between trying to replace...

    New Spyder. Now P0300

Jared, you got screwed. I bet they never changed the fuel pressure regulator. It's an integral part of the poppet valve fuel injection system. The parts to make a repair are minimal, the cost is the labor. You should have sprung for the new spyder assembly. Why was it $1000 for a new cat and...

    Replacement motor, is this right?

Why not go with a Jasper? They have the same warranty as a factory replacement motor. The best part is if the motor fails and needs replacing they cover the cost and will tow to nearest Jasper dealer for replacement. Can't get that with any other motors. I'm 5k miles into my Jasper motor and...

    side exuast

Dumping in front of the wheels is an issue because of the plastic gas tanks. Atleast to the driver's side. I dumped my dual set up out the stock location and gave it a swept look. Looks good and sounds good too.

OBS no DRL or fog lights

Try to disconect the battery and ground the power wire to discharge the system. I had a similar problem while working on my Kon. They worked before I disconnected the battery and performed some welding. They didn't work when I hooked the battery up. I searched all through the truck to find...

Service engine light w/ new engine???

If your motor went bad then its possible your cats and sensors were damaged in the process. I continued to get a CEL after replacing my motor, that is until the cats and oxygen sensors were replaced. And the catalytic converters and oxygen sensors are usually only good for 100k miles...

    Bondo this?

Exectly. Strip the stuff held on by two sided tape. He was talking about filling the indent above the rubber trim.

Service engine light w/ new engine???

So, why didn't you replace the catalytic converters and oxygen sensore when you replaced the motor?

    Bondo this?

+1 Only way to do it, if you want it done right. It really isn't that much work, just a pain to stitch weld the panels in. I like the idea. It's one of those subtle hot rod ideas that get people scratching their heads. I like the idea enough, I might do that to mine. Good luck.
