    @jfoj thanks, yeah this is my 3rd motor (replaced as part of the july 2024 cutoff recall). Here's what's in first oil change at 2,000 miles on motor #3... so tired of GM ********.

    I put a remote-mic on the oil dipstick close to cylinder 4 (passenger side, second from front) and drove around the neighborhood. Compare with the rest of the engine 10 seconds in, when AFM shuts off the cylinder. How does it sound to you?

    My recall motor replacement is done, and it is motor #3 for me with only 46K miles. 0W40 oil in it. Install was perfect, but the motor itself doesn't sound very good. I put a remote mic on the oil dipstick for good audio. How's it sound to you all? I don't know what "normal" is anymore for GM.
