It's not great looking, lol and it's only $5 and I'm a pro at wiring, soldering etc... I often replace them if they make uncomfortable. I'll try just the sensor first though and see what happens. Soldering in that spot isn't going to be easy, so it may be best to do them one at a time anyway...
I'm going to ressurect this thread because mine keeps doing it. I had already figured out that fuse 12 would reset it, but its back every time I get back in the truck. it is warmer now than it was in feb and my temp is at 210 when i turn the truck off and the fans are on till i take the key out...
I've tried the the dome over ride button in both the in and out position. No difference. Anywhere along the full turn, no difference. Just past the full turn where it clicks, lights all come on and stay on and won't go out. If the vehicle is off long enough they time out, but they all stay on...
Manual says "if it is dark enough outside, the interior lamps will come on and stay on for 20 seconds or until the ignition is turned on."
Mine do not. I can turn the over ride switch all the way clockwise and they all come on, but this feature as explained above, doesn't work.
They don't come...
That may be the reason. I had a cylinder misfire due to collapsed lifter when I got the truck. I don't know if I've tried it since I had the motor rebuilt.
I'll try it again, thanks for the feedback.
So I'm understanding this correctly, the remotes are programmed and will work for everything except remote start. Doors unlock and lock, auto lift gate and hatch work, but not remote start.
And you're saying that the remote start feature won't work unless it's programmed by some other means?
I had to replace the remotes when I bought this 08 Tahoe LTZ. I got the ones with the remote start button and I have the feature enabled in the systems settings but I get no results from the remote no matter what I've tried.
Is there a simple guide on how this works or a common problem with...
Injectors aren't too difficult to swap either. Check to make sure the connectors are clean and no signs of corrosion.
I did all these things and then sent it to the shop and found a collapsed lifter had worn into the cam. I hope you have better luck.
My buddy recomended welding in dynomax bullets because they look like cats for inspection. I'd rather have a high flow cat though.
I'll check out those magnaflows 992dr mentioned.
Any other suggestions?
Don't know. Previous owner ran the vehicle for a long time with a misfire though, so I wouldn't be surprised. Cam was bad, alomg with bearings, lifters, push rods, rocker arms etc...
