Got the Airaid and the dry filter option to go into the stock box. All is installed but I don't notice any sound difference. Does anyone else have sound difference than the stock?

under normal driving there's not much difference in sound. You should notice it under WOT though

I just installed the same set up on mine tonight. I noticed that it was very normal under normal driving but when you opened her up she got a little boomy. I can't decide if I like the sound or not. Also not sure if I can really tell a difference in performance, perhaps I had unrealistic expectations. Then again, I've only had the Tahoe a couple weeks so I don't know her well enough to feel any difference. I'm not disappointed, but I feel like I could have lived without it. Perhaps when I get a BlackBear tune and an exhaust it will all come together and make sense? :hmmm2:

yes I feel the same way. Exhaust and then bb tune. Also maybe a cone filter would help with sound.

intakes and exhuast don't do much for these vehicles. however, when you go to get a tune, those mods help with the tuning ability to open up the HP on these motors.

After having it a couple weeks now I'm really starting to like the sound. I still think it sounds a little weird going from zero to WOT but once the RPMs get up just a little its great. I love the sound of moderately aggressive acceleration or WOT while the RPMs are already up a bit. I'm starting to think about not getting an exhaust, maybe just get a tip to cover the ugly factory pipe and put that 1K towards something else. We'll see, exhaust is at least moving to the back of my mod wish list for the time being.
