Haven't posted in a while, but the swapped the wifes grocery getter to something newer. Had a 2001 LT the hit 250k miles so we traded it for a 2009 2LT. Had it 3 weeks and the modding has already begun. So far all mods have to be run by the wifey but she has good taste. Still to do....Esky rack, esky taillights/spoiler (will be tinted), exhaust, drop, and get rid of the interior woodgrain.

out with the old, in with the new

kicking myself repeatedly. I didnt realize that the racks would swap at the time and i had no original parts to swap back on. I traded parts with a totaled Esky. I have another rack being delivered monday. has slight damage but for 100 bucks complete I cant argue. She wants to black it out too so minor damage is acceptable Ill just fix and paint it.

She wanted an all black one like yours but settled for this. Its got 64k on it. stickered for 27k.

Nice! Still low miles, are you just gonna do exterior upgrades or are you gonna do anything with the motor

Well since it the wifes daily kid hauler i cant do much with the drivetrain. I want to add a MBRP catback and possibly a tune but that will probably be it. I want to ditch the woodgrain inside soon. I am trying to talk her into a 2/3 drop......with no luck so far

A few additions as of the past week. Escalade rack painted gloss black and a little detail work on the center caps. Painted the emblem black, the gold emblem was cutting it.

Nice looking ride, and good looking mods so far! Where you going to get the replacement trim to replace the wood inside?

Im going to either have it hydro dipped or paint it. had good luck with a fine metallic silver basecoat and a scuff pad to give a brushed nickel appearance.

looks beautiful, love the color and esky racks but you've gotta level that stance out though!

Agreed! Still battling with the driver, aka the wife. Want to do a 2/3 Mcgaughys that a friend is selling.

Just convince her that the 2/3 drop is the best modification for safety, and it'll improve the gas mileage too!

ive never been a fan of that newere body style but i have to say yers looks pretty nice
not to austintacious but sleek
now you need a set of 20s or 22s not a flashy set of rims you need a modest set
then drop it like 2 or 3 inches and be done with cosmetic stuff

Slight shade on the taillights. Didnt want the wife getting nabbed by the man.

Looks great. How did you black out the chrome grill shell?

Basecoat/clearcoat gloss black. Pulled it out, sanded with 800 grit, prime, paint. Its held up well so far.
