14 Daytona 500

So I was thinking that the next 500 weekend would be an ideal time and place to have a meet, and hopefully the race would be a good destination to lure some members from further away. We could catch some racing, a few beers, some greasy food, and make a weekend of it.

Nathan and Robbhay are likely participants, so I understand if you want to skip this one.

Not sure exactly how to arrange this, a lot of it will depend on how many folks commit to it. Ideally, if can get our shit together in the next few weeks, we can start making arrangements such as lodging and tickets. I imagine this stuff is best booked months in advance.

The other option is we all make our own travel arrangements, buy the race tickets as a group so we can get seats together, and we just hook up during the weekend to hang out. Or we could just meet on sunday, watch the race, have dinner/drinks, and head off our merry ways afterwards.

I'm going to probably make a long weekend of it from my end and see several races, but obviously if you just want to see the 500 and skip the craftsman/nationwide races that's up to you and how much time and $ you can devote to this.

Anyway, I'm just throwing it out there to gage interest.

Let's see if we can make this happen ...

I think they start at $60, with decent ones being around $150.
