I saw this on CL, and thought that I could probably part it out and make more than the total price. Just saw that it has no driver's door, but that's not a big deal. What do you guys think? Would I make money, or would I be lucky to get $650 for all those parts? Waste of time?

It might take a while to get your money back. Roughly $400-500 in scrap there.

I probably wouldn't buy it. If it was an escalade or denali you would make some good money parting it out.

get a door and overhaul the tranny and keep it.

No thanks. I only need one truck. I'm 21 years old, what would I do with 2? Besides, I'm more focused on getting my Yukon taken care of. Fixing the damage and the moving on to the trans and rear end. No point in spending money on a truck I don't need.

I just wasn't sure how many parts I would realistically be able to sell off this thing. I probably won't end up getting it, then. Just too much hassle and no way to know for sure if I'd get my money back and make some to make it worth my while.

If yours is a 2WD get it and rebuild that tranny, the block is probably an old school cooling system roller ready block. Those are worth more then scrap value to the right guy.

That thing isn't worth 2200. The interior door handles are busted up, no door, blown trans, cloth seats, TBI motor, broken mirror... It's worth 1500 tops with a working transmission, new door and fixed interior.

I don't see any money in it. It will take too long to get your money back and overall just a waste of time IMO.

I wouldn't buy a vehicle from a foreigner to begin with.

That is a waste of money in my opinion. Not many people are going to buy a vehicle in that condition... Keep your money and save it for your truck you have. Dont waste it on that piece of junk. Gzes if you think you can flip that piece for 2000-2200, do it. I would like to see that done...

Unless you happen to have a transmission laying around for it, and or can get parts super cheap, it's not worth it. And parting out a vehicle is a pain in the ass. I parted out my 1993 OBS and it took up way too much space in our garage and I had to deal with craigslist douchers. Plus I only made a few hundred dollars on it. Not really worth it
