So i only have 7200 miles on my ride and have waterspots on the windshield like crazy, does anyone have a good method to getting them off. In the past i have used like a acid i had got from a detail shop but no one in my area knows anything anymore. Thanks in advance fellas!

Check with your higher end Body Shop suppliers. There is a special cream made that works like a charm. I forget what's called right now. Best stuff I have ever used on glass. Took all water spots off a 17 year old conversion van I own.
Acetone is said to work well too. But do not get it on any painted surfaces!!!

Use a clay bar and white vinegar!
Modded, vinegar wont do anything to the paint right? I tried your method tonight already on the windshield, mixed vinegar and water 50/50 and used my clay bar, just did the front windshield for now too see how it works. If its to my liking then ill do all my windows then rain x them hopefully preserve it a little longer.
Regency- if the above does not work to my liking then im going that route on the vid.
Sheriff- if none of these home methods work then i will be seeing a high end detail shop. I have used that cream/acid stuff before and it absolutely works like a champ. Makes it look like you can reach through the glass. Thats what im looking for.

No vinegar will not harm the paint. The vinegar and clay bar should do the trick on the windshield!

Cool thread great to know.... With me I usually just use rainx spray and it takes them off except for in the corners of my windshield soo I'll be giving these a try
I tried the vinegar on my side mirrors and it didnt work well, it takes te film off ut the residue is still there i was thinking of using a rubbing compound and a buffer/polisher and see if that will work or maybe even hand do it. Has anyone tried that method before.
What residue? The hard water? I have tried buffing them with a wax/polish it didnt seem to do much. I tried the vinegar/mixed 50/50 with water i used news paper and clay bar on ine side and just clay bar on the other. The news paper and clay bar worked the best. I am going to do all the windows like this and see how it works. If its not up to parr then high end detail shop here i come. You have to rain x them afterwards otherwise they will be right back.

the residue I am talkign about is when u spray cleaner on it and you still see the spots but once its clean you really cant see it as bad, basically you can clean the white off the water spots but the hard spot is still there, i hope that makes since.

What do you use to get the water spots off regency? Do you have a product i could buy?The vinegar and clay bar is not doing it for me on the tinted windows, its not even getting the waterspots off 100% plus like stated above i see what hes talking about. Tomorrow i am going to try the "0000" steel wool like from the 2nd post. The thing that is getting me is i have a 96 accord that has absolutely no water spots on the windows at all. Ive never done anything special with them. Also if there this bad on my windows i wonder whats hiding on the WDT paint. Big detail coming over the next month or so.

-I'm supplied buy chemical guys great company just bing them and they come right up
-I've never had water spots because I literally detail my truck every month and wash it every weekend only in very small areas which is why I'm doing the steel wool
-Yeah I just got done with a detail but pretty soon I'm gonna strip the wax and re-do everything
-After your done and if you don't use rain-x I would try the chemical guys butter wet wax (you can put it anywhere)

I tried this on the water spots on my mirror glass and I wasn't too impressed. I'm going to try it again but I'm definitely open for some more suggestions. I have a pretty good amount of water spots on my windows that need to go!

Try some 3M rubbing compound on your window. It is abrasive enough to get that stuff off w/o scratching the window.
I used it to get overspray off the window that nothing else would get off.
