Hi everyone,

My name is Karim and I am currently living and working in Kuwait.

Just bought a 2008 black on black Yukon Denali.

I've been lurking for a while as a guest and then as a member, reading, learning and enjoying.

There seems to be a wealth of knowledge here and some great people so i thought it's time a I introduce myself.

My 'nali came with all the options and OEM 20" chrome wheels.

I've already done a few light exterior mods:
- Completely Blacked out front inc. headlights except for the red GMC Logo on the grill which I kept (I liked the red contrast in this instance)
- Removed red GMC Logo on the tailgate and replaced with the Denali lettering (similar to Serge and thanks for the idea :Handshake:)
- Installed IPCW Bermuda Black LED third brake light
- Ordered and waiting on IPCW Bermuda Black LED Taillights

Power Mods:
- Just ordered the Autocal and Tune from Justin at Black Bear
- Ordered the AEM Brute Force CAI with Dry Filter
- On Justin's advice I am ordering ARH 1 7/8 headers and Y-pipe with sport cats
- On justin's advice, I am in touch with MAST Motorsports for their recommendations on an appropriate cam upgrade
- I am considering also adding a 75hp nitrous shot but remain undecided about that.

I have been searching the net looking for a part number and a reliable and fairly priced place to by the aforementioned ARH headers and y-pipe and would welcome any suggestions you guys have.

Anyhow, sorry for the longwinded post and thank you for the knowledge you guys already imparted to me :hands:.

PS: I also wanted to thank TYF member wheatswake for posting that thread on the performance forum about spark plug wires. Mine are MSD and hence the jump to order Magnacor!

At the risk of over complementing, it's those opinion starters and their lack of dark humor and wit that got me to register here :jawdrop:

Some of us, not naming names, are a little better at showcasing brutally honest opinions, than others. Give me a month or two and I'll show you honest.

But yeah, I'm pretty happy with the overall vibe here, too. Welcome and please post pics, once she's "perrrtied up."

Thanks for the welcome and pics will be up tomorrow. It'll be time for her annual bath and it's a good thing too, things were getting a bit rancid!

I'm sorry about that choochoo train sound you heard. Hopefully it's a one time idiosyncratic thing.

And about the heat, you ought to fly ought to this part of the world in summer some time... 122 in the shade !

Nooooooo, thank you. My Brother was stationed over there in Desert Storm, then lived there for a civilian assignment, I've heard all about it. I do love 100+ temps, but 112 is pretty much my cutoff.

I'm glad he made it out ok. Yeah, weather here is depressing!
We deal with sandstorms, a couple of months when humidity can get +90%, a few days a year when temps are over 130...
But I can think of much worse places to be... Has its advantages.
