First oddity, I was driving normal after exiting I71 today to purchase fuel. Moving about 20 mph, the engine starting reving as if it was downshifting (I did not have the fast pedal pressed more than needed for that speed). I let off and reapplied the horsepower only to feel as if the TQ was slipping a tad. Hmm Topped off the tank and tried reverse on restart, no bueno! As I entered the rap the CEL appears and I was able ton reach 60 mph, at 3800rpms. Dropped it off at my dealer and I will call Monday to check the status of a loaner of my 116k trans issue. Lifetime powertrain warranty is about to get tested!

What year is this truck? Do you tow heavy with it?

I’ve had trans issues before in a f150 but I was routinely towing 8000lbs. Went through 2 trans and I junked it before buying the 3rd.


I tow with my 2026 and just take it easy!

Sorry, been slammed with work in the shop as of late so haven't been online as much.

I don't have any 10-speed valve bodies...I've been trying to acquire a couple 10-speed cores to learn on but it's been extremely difficult as GM is charging over $3,000 for just a core. So no one is not turning them back in...Both GM and Ford have had major supply chain disruptions when it comes to parts like valve bodies, drums and entire complete transmissions. A few of my customers who also own late model trucks equipped w/10 speeds have had them stuck at the dealerships for weeks to months awaiting warranty replacement parts....
