I have a 2023 Chevy Premier 4WD. How can I tell what size engine it has? I've heard the if the Vin number has an L in the 8th position, it's a 5.3L. If its a J, it's the Ecotec 3 6.2L engine. How can I tell for sure?

What is the 8th digit of your V.I.N.? Also, there is a sticker under the hood with the engine size on it. Did you buy this truck and not know the engine size?

Open the fuel filler door. If the fuel door says 87 octane recommend it’s a 5.3 liter. If the fuel door says 91 octane recommend you have a 6.2 liter engine.
