2020 Tahoe driver side door buttons

The passenger side door lock buttons work. The key fob will also lock/unlock perfectly, but the buttons on the driver side locks only work intermittently. Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct/repair?

My first guess would be to replace the master drivers switch, if everything is working and just the buttons are intermittent to me that would indicate a switch going bad.
did it by chance get rained on? or spilled coffee or anything on it? sometimes they just quit working right.
