Hi all. Finally we have reached the finish line. After the prototype has been made. The studio has started work on my Yukon. The front bumper of the car was removed. Next, the headlights were disassembled and diode modules were installed on the adapter frame.

At the same time, they began to use masks. and plastic covers for headlight units. They decided to cut them down so that they would not interfere with the correct distribution of light. and paint it black.

A comparison of the stock and what we got. If you don't know, you can't determine at all that the headlights are not original. But it began to look better due to lenses and black masks

It low beam and high beam
The light output looks incredible and is significantly better than the OEM light output.

These turned out great! Nothing too crazy over the top, or that looks out of place. Just a nice executed OEM+ look.

Nothing crazy, but no one has ever done this before)))
The fact that the Headlights are as similar as possible to the OEM was the goal. I like the look of the OEM headlights. And I wanted to save it. Plus, in Russia we are strict with tuning; any change must be certified and the change in the vehicle must be reported to the Police. And if you make the change invisible, then the Police will not ask questions.

Great Job! The light output looks amazing and the headlights look top tier.
The light output is excellent. Immediately after installation, I drove at night to a neighboring country. Belarus. Driving at night became very comfortable. I now have roadside lighting on both sides. The light fill is very uniform across the entire width of the low beam zone. Well, the farthest of the 6 modules now hits 700-800 meters.

That looks great! Thanks for sharing the progress on it. Output looks incredible.
I understand that you will not be able to buy these modules. But suddenly, in the USA there are the same psycho-engineers who are ready to take on such unusual projects. And this entry will be a little help to him. Although, we have also learned how to install MTF modules in the GMC Sierra, but it looks a little worse. is no longer as OEM-like, and not as powerful as this project.

Out of curiosity, how did you get a Yukon into Russia? Were they for sale prior to the sanctions?

No, GMC were never sold in Russia. Chevrolet, Cadillac yes, GMC no. Delivery is no problem. Cars are brought to us from the USA as before. Sanctions only affect the delivery time and its cost.
And so, as for before the sanctions, after everything we had, everything remained the same, it’s just that goods from the USA and Europe became a little more expensive.

So with that being said...

If someone in the USA were willing to pay for the additional costs for shipping and processing through customs wouldn't it then be possible for someone in the USA to ship the a set of '21-'24 GMC OEM Yukon headlights to the Light studio in Russia that you worked with to have the LED module retrofit done and then ship them back to the USA?

Unfortunately, everything is much more complicated (((for installation you need a specific car, on which the modules in the disassembled headlight are aligned and centered. Without a Car, this is practically impossible to do. But the Studio practices differently. They sell a Kit in Russia. These are modules and transition frame. And any Studio can install this on site. This is how we solve the issue of installing the Kit on cars that are too far from the studio and cannot come to them.

Came looking for headlight upgrades, and this thread delivered. But dang that it’s such an involved process. I wonder if Lightwerks in the US has developed any upgrades for these Yukons. I’ll check in with them and report back. I’ve used them in the past for retrofits on other vehicles.

I'm glad this article was helpful. Alternatively, you can use this material to pitch an idea to studios in the United States

This is such a necessary upgrade to the ‘21-‘24 Yukon headlights. The OEM LED reflector/lens just sucks a$$.

@fondupot did you ever message Lightwerkz to see if they thought they were capable of we purchase the LED module kit from Russia?

I’ve also used sparksmith for headlight retrofits with a good experience. But when I showed them this thread they didn’t feel like this was something they were capable of…

I have a 2018 and the light are garbage. I put a set of Ridgid LED fog lights behind the grill (angled them properly) and they throw more light than the headlights…
