What's up everyone, just joined in the forum, I ride a 2004 GMC Yukon SLT 4X4 4.8L WITH 862 heads, cathedral ported intake & longtube headers (ain't much but it's honest). She's got 258k miles. Any off road or performance advice for bigger wheel setups id appreciate & anyone feel free to ask questions I'm pretty slick with these LS engines.

Looks in great shape for the mileage. Have you experienced any coolant loss? Some 862 heads were prone to cracks. Welcome from NJ.
Nah I haven't brother. Fortunately all I have is a pesky oil leak. Not coming from the oil pressure sensor, checked the inspection plate and rear main is dry, crankshaft position sensor is dry as is valve covers and valley pan. The only thing I can really think of is that it's the oil pan leaking back by the bell housing and the only reason I say that is because it only leaks real bad at certain levels of oil so once it gets down to about 3/4 of the level it's not really leaking

Slick Tahoe man looks good! And what are you wanting to do? Lift it more to clear 14 wides? If so go ahead and expect to run a 7-9” to fully clear 35s

for the 99-06 body styles I feel like FTS or mcgaughys makes one of the best lift kits if your on a budget rough country is ok.
Expect to beef up the front end also 14 wides will eat your ball joints and tie rods
Kryptonite makes some great stuff for these body styles so your not replacing ball joints every 6 months

Well I'm actually looking to just get a smoother ride with the wheels that I have on for the moment I went from 31 dirt Commander to these Toyo open countrys and they're 32.4".. not rubbing but it's definitely riding like a tank for sure. I just want a good smooth ride like I had with my 31s

In fact my girlfriend hates talking to me most the time because it always ends up being something about the Yukon or another truck that I had seen and liked LOL

Maybe start with some decent shocks and upper control arms? Maybe a coil over conversion?
