Looking at replacing my Jeep and started looking at the Tahoe. Seem to be pretty reliable - my main concern.
So the question is : having experienced one - would you do it all over again...?

My first new vehicle was a 1978 chevy short bed 4X4. I Lifted it, put tires, wheels and a full roll cage in it. But immediately whished I had chosen a Blazer. In addition I have been thru two Jeep Wagoneer's and a Nissan 4X4 Extended cab. As far as two wheel drive I've owned another Nissan, Silverado, GMC Sierra and a full size Ford Van. Fast forward to 2019: we just bought a 2013 Tahoe LTZ and man what a vehicle, truck, suv, everything vehicle! Should have done this long ago!

But at the same time I paid more for this 2013 than any vehicle I have ever owned. It's just ludicrous, I am not happy about that.
So even though I did spend 4 -5 months looking, my only regret is maybe that I should have bought from a private party to avoid all of the steeler fees. But yes I would do it again (but differently).

yep in a heartbeat, I will add like others if you are shopping used in this body style I would recommend a 2010+ myself, do not fret if you can't find the one you want right away I searched for months and flew and drove it home 7 hours, I drove the previous body style for 12 years those are good trucks as well, There are some common things to look for if you poke around on the site there is a thread on it.

YES! Family loves it. Many who buy the short ones later wish they'd just bought the original Suburban/Yukon XL. These fellas went from short to long wheel base:

I’d do it again, but I sometimes wish that I’d bought a Suburban for the greater cargo room and somewhat wider/easier rear door ingress/egress. The 6-speed trans on ‘09 and up models is worth a look, too.

I love my 09 tahoe, its been my favorite chevy out of all the ones i've owned. The L9H really makes it fun too.

We had an 03 tahoe with the 4.8, That vehicle "never" failed us and we allways enjoyed the room for luggage and kids on roadtrips. The only drawback is that it was extremely under powered. Traded it in on an 08 denali xl and without a doubt is the most comfortable/powerful road vehicle we have ever owned.
