I'll admit, I was always a bit envious,.. those Z71 pickups got the cool grill emblem and we didnt,....

SOLVED !

For $2.39 this ebay chinese made metal badge fits PERFECTLY between the grate of the stock grill and looks dam near stock. A little black JB Weld and Viola.

On my 04 Tahoe Z71 I would love to delete the Chevy bowtie in the grill and put the Z71 badging instead!!
I think it would’ve been a nice touch to put the Z71 badging on the steering wheel and a few other places!!!

I’m thinking of installing VERY VERY bright LED lights (2” in diameter) in the end caps of my roof rack for backing up (when I go camping there just isn’t enough light to setup camp until we dig out the lantern!!) or when I open the back door!!! They would operate just like how an Ambulance’s “Rear Load Lights” work!!! (I’m a retired Paramedic and I’m kinda accustomed that setup)

Yes
A “TRUE” Z should only have Tahoe on the two front doors!!! And nowhere else!

Have you tried researching your VIN#?

In front of LMC Trucks catalog (make sure you have the correct model year catalog for your truck) it has a full page of what info can be found out just through your VIN#

There's no Tahoe Badge on my doors,... never was,... in fact I cant think of anywhere that it says tahoe, except maybe on the RPO.

They all came with them . He might of had the dealership take them off day of sale. It's a common request

There should NOT be ANY Tahoe badging on the two front doors (the GMC Yukon says Denali on the doors but says Yukon on the back deck lid)on a “TRUE Z”!!!!

The first photo shows 95'-99', second photo shows first yr on NBS (00'-01') with black strip w/tahoe badge seemingly carried over from previous gen,... then in 03' Ive seen NO side badge till I think 07' when they started putting them back on the doors.

Yes,... this has been my experience....the Tahoe badge was combined with the black ribbed molding back in the first two years, carried over from the 90's,... some 99' NBS's ,.00', and 01.

I believe there is a thread on here with this mod. (LED's in the end caps of a Z71 roof rack) Either that or it's in someone's build thread. Anyway, I know it's been successfully done.
