Has anyone replaced the HMI in their Yukon or Tahoe with with the IO6 HMI pre-loaded with Nav? I have seen several kits available but I haven't seen anyone actually swap for it. There are some links below to kits I have seen. Just wondering if anyone has done it and if its pretty straight forward or if there are any issues.

April. The icons etc on the 17 look different so I'm assuming there is an update available...?

As far as I know, you cannot update between model years. The software is loaded on the hardware and it cannot be updated other than the maps.

Assume you lose the ability to raise the screen with that Alpine upgrade.

OK, so I bit the bullet and did the install. It was $1000 from OEM Parts CO. Install took about 30-45 min or so. It was difficult to get one of the plugs out of the old module. With the right tools it all came apart easy and same for back together. Online with XM now to get the NavWeather and NavTraffic setup and rolling. Ill drive with it a few days and follow up with how it works so far.
