Had her up in the air yesterday. 17089190183041978443482202731625.jpg

Steering idler had been on the way out for sometime but hadn't worked out where the movement was.

You definitely lucked out with the removal.
Yes I sure did luck out!
I watched a removal on YouTube and that backed up what I thought I had to do.
And very lucky i had replaced the steering bar a couple of years ago so the arm wasn't seized in there.
Learning lots and getting jobs done to make her safe and more fun to drive.
Cheers guy's for any help you've given.

Not my Tahoe, but the transmission in my 98 Z71 gave up the ghost this morning. When pulling out into traffic it gave a loud bang and no longer has reverse. I got it towed into the shop.

I’m assuming it’s the sun shell but will see what the rebuild shop comes back with. It made it almost 200k miles so I guess I can't complain.

By 8:00 this morning I was ready to call it a day, lol.

I purchased some wee mud flaps and put them on in the weekend. Going to see if they help keeps a bit off the side of her20240306_155857.jpgAlso replaced the swaybar bushes and link rods. Someone had replaced the original with the wrong size rods and the sway was not functioning properly!20240306_155920.jpgfeels much better up front. Am looking forward to getting the new arm bushes in at sometime. Grabbed this master set from R.A20240306_160029.jpg

I dont know if anyone has done this.
I recently replaced my tires to a lower profile and as a result needed to change the spare size to the same.
20240318_141712.jpgAfter lifting the spare back up into position I decided I wanted to do something to change the look of a spare hanging out of the back so I found a cheap leather look vinyl cover on a local trade site.

It cost me $8N.Z to do or $4 ish U.S.
It is a snug fit and tucks up underneath when the spare lifted into place.

Have done 1000 or so miles and it hasnt moved so I think I'm onto a winner there.
