most states were offering a few months leeway on inspection stickers due to the kung fu beer flu.

like others have mentioned, shouldnt be an issue, provided vehicle is in good shape.... since you are buying & transporting it home


seller does come off as a bit shady ;)

are you buying in the same state? if so, any reason that you can't buy it & get it inspected right after or during the sale?

Is the '95 2 door tahoe you are buying 2wd or 4wd? If it is 4wd can you put the transfer case in neutral and tow home without worrying about disconnecting the driveshaft. Also, on a couple of occasions, I've rented the tow dolly from Uhaul and told them I was towing a honda civic when in fact I was towing something a bit heavier. No problem there until there's an accident or something else stupid...
