so I bought a new amp thinking my old one blew up, just got it and wired it up but still nothing out of the subs, checked all connections and they are good. I thought the subs were blown so I hooked up my old 8inch to see and it didn't work either. Does anybody have any idea why this is happening? Or what's going on

Did you check the fuse on the power wire for the amp?

He says he checked that already. Possibility of purchasing a blown or defective amp is slim, but it does happen. If I were you, id ask someone to borrow thier amp to see if it works wired up in your vehicle. If it doesn't, then you have a radio/wiring issue. Did any of the speakers with at all? With the system off, have you measured your resistance on the remote coming from the head unit and the soaker wires?
