Steering wheel swap question

I wonder if it is possible to swap the steering wheel from an 01 tahoe with a steering wheel from an 06 Escalade I have an 06 Escalade steering wheel lying around and I really would like to install it if possible. I have converted a 01 Tahoe into an 06 Escalade completely and the steering wheel is all that is left

Any ideas?

Might be better answered in the 2000-2006 you mean.

The shaft is a different size. You'll need the shaft, clock spring, wheel, airbag and harness. Expensive upgrade even if you have the wheel

Your ignition switch probably isn't compatible because the 99-02 has the twist back for accessory whereas the 03-06 doesn't. May or may not work, I'm not sure.

The steering wheel controls won't work either. The newer 29-bit CAN bus isn't backwards compatible with regards to the wheel.
