The PO of my vehicle (04' Z71) included (2) factory remotes and (1) aftermarket remote, (Valet). He told me that he added an aftermarket remote start, but the Viper fob itself broke. When I took the Viper apart to replace the battery It was clear that the battery hold down had come broken loose from the board. So in an attempt to see if it actually works I jerry rigged it together just long enough to confirm that it does indeed work. So I see on ebay I can get a replacement Valet fob, but I would have no idea how to program the new fob to my system. Does anyone know the sequence to program another fob ?

Doing some research I found that Valet, Viper , and a whole slew of others are all the same...

you could call viper tech support and they could probably walk you thru it, or go to any stereo shop and ask if they will do it, they might charge a small fee, but it literally takes less than 5 minutes. if you call you will need to know where the programming button is, the alarm units on these trucks are usually right behind the light switch so you may have to pull the panel off that goes from the drivers side over to the right side of the radio/ac controls, if you just grab it and pull it will come right off, put the key in the ignition to the on position, foot on the brake and move the shifter down to 1 then you can take the panel off without breaking anything. then you should have access to pull the light switch out, but it could be under the dash panel that is just under the steering wheel also, that comes off with a couple 7 or 8mm screws and then it just pulls off also (there is a couple clips).

Would resoldering the tab be a viable option for you?
