Yea I think @Rocket Man replied about a different retaining clip. I know it's gonna be a ***** to crawl under the bumper and push each one in.
But a new one but now sure if it just snaps into place or a pia like the reviews imply lol.

Even the new ones still have those same rings. New ones are already bent in where they need to be and are just pushed in.

I just went through this on my silverado swapping to the newer bumper.

Why dont you over bend them now, before you put it on the truck, so 1 or 2 break big deal, then slip it on. As you are pushing it on they will catch the groove. I did it on the mirrors on my 01, it has a similar push type locking ring, with a spring so the mirrors fold, when the spring let go and the mirror just flops i would take a hacksaw, make the groove deeper, over bend the locking tabs, push it on and it would catch... hope i make sense

I think maybe i'm overthinking it since it was such a pain to take off. I guess common sense would say it just snaps back into place after you guys explain it.

Do I still need the other ring tho ?316APIym-rL.jpg

I think you need both. I just went through this when I did the Denali bumper. I bent all the tabs,, blah blah blah... It just doesn't want to hold again. @Rocket Man said he'd send the $12, but it must have gotten lost in the mail.
