My wife has a 1993 Suburban. The passenger side rear window motor fell apart. I bought a replacement motor, but when I drilled out the rivets holding the motor to the gear bracket, my spring fell off.

It was out for a week while I waited for the new motor, so I don't remember the configuration it came out in. I also can't find a youtube video on it, only the 2000 -up doors.

I need to figure out what configuration to have the mechanism in, how the spring needs to be wound to put this back together.
pics below are how it is now.

Here are images from rockauto.com for 1993 passenger side regulators, maybe they'll help?

The spring orientation (counterclockwise) looks the same, but it looks like the gear (flywheel thing) is centered...

I figured it out. The spring wound tight when it's down, so that it helps the motor push the window up. In order to wind it, I removed the motor again. I spun the motor mount around to roughly 180 degrees from where the gear is. I installed the spring and rotated the mount to wind it. Once I got it to the gear, my son stuck a long bolt through a hole that lined up in the mount and the gear. I then installed the motor, which holds the tension. Works great.
