Buffer + 2 pads (1 cutting, 1 polishing) = $300...but you know what...these big buffers are WORTH it! lol...your going to enjoy it bro, I promise! Congrats!! :Handshake:

I'd take a 7424 any day over that dewalt.

Someone made a thread about comparing the 7424 to a non-orbital polisher...anyone have that link? The 7424 paled in comparison...and Daddy needs to polish

Update: Slid out on a patch of ice and grazed a road marker sign, pics and the follow up using the porter cable to remove the damage soon to come

If you are going to do a lot of detailing the orbital will not cut it. I use the crap out of the DeWalt buffer in my shop. If there are scratches on the vehicle you need the friction a variable speed buffer provides. It does take some practice but once you get the hang of it it's the only way to go.
