Hey fellas, I have been lurking off and on here for the last half year or so, just haven't posted until the last several days. This looks like a great site with plenty of good folk and a wealth of information. I am more of a truck/off-road/wheelin kinda guy, but some recent quirks with the wifes Denali has had me researching on this site... and it is very informative!

Its a completely stock 05 with somewheres around 130k miles. We are the second owners, bought it from an uncle. Its a great rig... I love the power from the 6 liter, and the MPG's we get out of it seams absolutely amazing to me. Other than a few small quirks with it, we cant complain one bit.

So, you may see a noob asking dumb questions that have been answered a halfazillion times, or someone bringing up a dead thread from back in the good ol days... I will try to keep it to a minimum. I have been using the **** out of the search feature, which seams to work quite well on this site.

Welp, Im glad to be here. See you guys around in the forums!

I am happy you joined! Great looking truck! Welcome. Everyone here is cool as hell. Great forum!! Enjoy.

I have always been into lifted trucks and have not had anything to do with lowering something yet... but I do find it interesting. While I would certainly not doing something extremely major like many have on this forum, I wouldn't mind going a few inches lower just to be a little different.

If I can get the wife to keep this ride long enough, maybe a small lowering kit may be in its future. I feel like it could use a new set of shocks anyway. I told her I was going to put a new set of shocks on it to kinda renew the ride a bit... until I saw the price of replacement shocks . Holy taleetha. Maybe it doesn't ride all that bad after all :hahano:

Thanks. They are pretty nice rims, other than the chrome is peeling in many areas. They have been extremely well maintained, too, but I suppose after 5 Michigan winters it may be expected? Anyone else have this issue? I was also appalled to read on the dealer sticker sheet that these rims tacked on an additional $2999 to the cost of the vehicle! Jeesh
