I have a '96 Tahoe with a "new" GM crate 350 from Summit (23k on it), with some 275/55/20's on it, with a BlackBear tune with EGR delete and rear O2 delete. Currently averaging about 13.6mpg with it (averaged over 2500+ miles), but that includes city and highway driving.

I work as a General Contractor, and install for Lowe's.... yesterday I put over 215 miles on my truck, and at 13mpg.... over 17 gallons of gas, at $3.78 per gallon.... figure yesterday cost me about $65 in gas.

Last year, I had gas receipts of over $12,000.... thank GOD I can write them off!!!!!

12.5city/12.5 highway on the Tahoe, 10 city/12highway on the suburban. Both on 35s and 4.56 gears.

Tahoe is a 383 with a bunch of stuff. Suburban is a 350 with a mild cam and some bolt ons.

Both have gas pedal issues. Pedals always seems to go right to the floor. I am anything but gentle on them

I am done working on the burb! We are adding another vehicle to the fleet shortly. My oldest goes for his learners permit TODAY (I am so scared). So, people have heard me mention it but a Jeep Cherokee will be making it's way here soon. Just what we need, a fourth 4x4 and fifth vehicle.

Company car is now my primary during the week. If the kids need to go with my I take the suburban. For fun I drive the tahoe. Flashing back a few years when the family grew again, we needed a bigger vehicle. It was a van...no, or a suburban or excursion. Suburban won.

Crewcab dually = win

I have a stock '99 Tahoe. I run 500 miles a week. about 75% of that is highway at 75-77 mph. I also have a heavy foot. I consistently get 15.1- 15.7 mpg
