I have a 08 Yukon. I recently was dealing with a battery that was dieing. I lived with it for a month then it finally would not start the engine. The battery was replaced then right afterward the instrument panel back light stopped working (only in night time mode when the headlights are on. It works OK in daytime mode when the DRLs are supposed to be on). Also at the same time the reading lights and sun visor lights will not turn on. The DRL light also won't work now.

About 2-3 months before this occurred I noticed that the key-in ignition chime volume was reduced to the point of hardly being able to hear it.

I searched this site and the web for any clues to the cause but nothing specific to this shows up. I want to ask here before I head to the shop to have it diagnosed.

Thanks.
