If your engine itself is stock (no cam, head work, stroker, forced induction), then
you would be wasting a lot of money to change out the manifolds for headers.
There WILL be more expense than just the headers.
You won't gain anything with headers until you have a custom tune done to take advantage.
If you cats are toast, then you have diff options on the cats w. Y pipe ...
Stock replacement stuff is fine.
When he says 'stock replacement stuff is fine', I do wonder though ...
maybe you should pretend your 2011 Chevy Tahoe (1500),
is instead a 2011 Chevy Suburban 2500?

Basically, are the manifolds and/or Y-pipes and/or cats different between 1500 vs 2500?

"stock replacement stuff is fine" if this is ALWAYS the case, this gets BLEAK.
"stock replacement stuff is fine" I like to be able to stretch my definition of
"stock replacement stuff" whenever possible.
