I want to change the color of the carpets in my 06 Escalade from OEM pewter to black. The carpets are in good shape, so I'd like to try dyeing them before I spring for new carpets. Has anyone dyed their carpets? How did it turn out? Any issues streaking or uneven coverage? How durable is it? Does it transfer to shoes or other surfaces? Which is best, dye or fabric paint? What product(s) do you recommend?

Ive used duplicolor fabric spray with good results om carpets and headliners. Probably take like 4 cans
Did you change the color? What prep products did you use on carpet?

I just cleaned and shampooed it. I went from tan to black carpet in one of my cars
