Has anyone blowen up there 6Litre ?

I hear of people blowing up 5.3L but I have yet to hear anything bad happeng to a 6litre, that isn't self inflected like low coolend or low oil. Seems like they get 500,000km and still keep going.

No but spun the mains on my 5.7 with only 220000 KM on it. Stupid mistake though really. The replacement i put in had over 4000000 KM's and it doesn't appear to be very interested in dying before me.

These guys know how to build a decent plant at least, good ol GM

My 5.7 threw a rod but that was me being stupid with it. At 350.000km

Upon further forum snooping i discovered it was a $2 rubber ring that brought my beast to a halt. I wished i searched to this forum before it was too late. Geez.

My lq4 gave up the ghost at 165k. Still ran good but was chewing something up internally. Lost oil pressure and had metal on the magnetic drain plug. After I pulled it is didn't see anything obvious. I replaced it with a long block and didn't have time to tear into it before I sent it back for a core.
