After investigating an oil leak from under my tahoe I narrowed the leak down to the front of the oil pan. I don't think its coming from the oil pan itself but I'm no mechanic. I think it's the timing cover. Anyone have suggestions?

Probably an oil pan gasket leak where the oil pan sides meets the timing cover. The oil pan gasket drops down in a semi-circular shape at the rear and front locations. Front location is where it mates to the bottom of the the timing chain cover. No fun to change. Good luck.

Just making an observation, and correct me if I’m wrong, but does that not look like coolant rather than oil?

That looks like coolant.

Check the bottom of the water pump, see if the weep hole is leaking. Otherwise, check hoses up higher.

If it's hard to spot, a cooling system pressure test will help identify the location. You can rent the test kits from a parts store.

Yes looks like coolant to me. Weep hole on the water pump likely.
