I'm watching this

Thanks for the encouragement. I am thinking about writing something that you can't find some where else, like the Eagle Eyes projector review. For the retrofit, if I find something new or different from others, I definitely will update my thread. Otherwise, it will depend on if I have time to kill.

new bumper lights are here

The clear bumper lights off eBay were here.

The new housing lacks of socket stoppers, hope not to cause any trouble.

It took me some time to decide which bulbs to go with these clear lamps.
Chrome 3157 amber was the first thing in my mind for signal/parking, but people complain they are too dim. LEDs cause hyper-flash. Finally settled with Sylvania SilverStar 3157A. They are not too chrome from the side view, brightness should be fine.

Chrome 194 amber was the first choice for side marker, was dropped for the same reason. I found no hyper-flash if the 194 LEDs are used, so two V-LEDS 194 amber with diffusing lenses were ordered.

Here is the new look,

You still see the amber from right in front of it.

The LED 194 doesn't diffuse like what I expected, but not too bad. The speed to lite up is faster than bulbs do.

I think I'll just use the regular 3157A and 194A bulbs once they need to be replaced.

The retrofitting is about to start, finally.

u mentioned morimoto projectors (which you also pictured)..but I don't see them installed in the denali headlights..unless I am mistaken?

You can see the "slots" in the halogen projectors, there is no such "slots" in Morimoto projectors. So, you are right, I have not started to retrofit yet. I just can't stand the old bumper lamps anymore, I have to get rid of them first. I'll share some experience on retrofitting, stay tune.

your thread seems misleading...not trying to break balls but for others who want to do this.....you seem to elude that you were going to change the projectors but you are showing the stock projectors installed...

so maybe re-create the thread AFTER you did the final install or change the wording as a build in progress

and do you have the link to the other install?

just my $.02

the pics will essentially be the same minus the 'slots' on the projector. These headlight assemblies have no wow factor after a HID projector install other than the actual light output ;)
