So I took the XFE badge off of the wife's Yukon and I was left with a perfect outline of the rectangular badge. See pics Below.

I washed the car and then clayed it with an mildly aggressive clay, not the most aggressive but not a mild one. I can feel a very slight ridge on the upper edges of the outline, but the rest is perfectly smooth.

Any ideas as to how i can get rid of the hideous outline would be much appreciated.

On another note, I hate the damn XFE badges on the Yukon. Like there aren't enough on it already.

That's just adhesive and gunk so I don't think clay will do much to it.

Either Goo Gone or any mild solvent (made for use over automotive paint) will get rid of it pretty quick.

Dinner and a show should take care of the other issue.

Polish and wax. Polishing will remove that, NOT clay.

x2 on dinner and a movie...

yep, adhesive residue with gunk buildup. There is a spray adhesive remover and a little compound wax with smooth that baby out.

I have tried Goo Gone and it did nothing. I will give spray adhesive remover a try.

Any recommendations on a compound wax and on a spray adhesive remover?

Goo gone didn't do anything for me either. I ended up soaking the area with Goo gone then rubbing the adhesive away very lightly with a razor. I wouldn't recommend that though but it worked for me. It would have taken me hours to take off all the adhesive without the razor.
