Has anyone came across this in antifreeze .
See how looks like a gel inside the coolant like it's thick .. Or like some is water and some is gel..

Ever used RMI-25? Pretty good stuff. You use it about a month before you plan on disposing of your old coolant and adding new coolant.
It attracts that stuff to itself, so it can't aggregate on anything else.
You can also add it to fresh coolant.

Over at the Impala SS Forum, several guys added a coolant filtration system that included a roll of toilet paper - yes, tp, for your bung 'ole.
Every few months or so, when they would swap out the toilet paper roll, they'd show pics, which were surprisingly disgusting.
Even supposedly clean coolant would eventually collect surprising amounts of detritus.

In the same manner that 5k miles between motor oil and filter changes is too long, 35k between ATF and ATF filter changes is too long ...
Changing coolant every five years is too long, no matter how much the coolant has improved, there's still no filtration.
Two to three years seems like more than enough.

Coolant travels across many surfaces while being moved thru the system. Plastic tanks on radiator and heated/cooled and heater core, edges of gaskets....etc.

Then a lot of that deposits in the radiator and then is released from capture, at different times while circulating. It is the nature of the beast. Flushing helps, but eventually different components need changed.

Some engines go well past 300,000 miles; obviously they had their oil and filter changed often enough.
Most radiators / heatercores don't make it nearly that long.
Given that most coolant systems have no filtration, five years seems far too long.

Yes there should be like a sediment filter running on the side .. and by passes if gets plugged . But with this sample I posted it's suspected of having both IAT and OAT mixed together so hotter it gets the more it gels up. I'm going send it out for testing . Takes couple weeks . Coolant was changed in late 90s 2000 ish from inorganic to organic . They don't mix together and can trash your heads by overheating when turns to gel at temperature. This could of been green mixed with yellow . Because guy I bought Yukon from changed it to green antifreeze because he had a mixing coolant issue also. I got to figured it out.
And get it tested ..

16 year old coolant here(safe to assume it's never been changed) it's still clean as the day it's been poured in

This thickening of the coolant. It's pretty puzzling ..
Like a thick syrup. Wonder how many systems. Have this going on and people don't have a clue till the water pump goes out . And then it's blamed on age and really it was some clowns topping off coolant with cheapest antifreeze they can find . And who knows what chemistry there mixing up.

Diesel trucks have been using this for oil filtration for decades.

But if you prefer not to use buttwipe:

Or, look at this:

Point is there is such a thing as coolant filtration, including but not limited to using buttwipe as the filter.
