Firts post here and need some advice :Handshake:

I bought a 99 Tahoe 2dr 2wd and Im lowering it this weekend 2/4. I want to run a 295/45/20 tire on 20x10 18mm offset wheel on the rear (20x8.5 front).
Before I jump off the deepend I would like to know if this has been tried and if its doable.

Its gonna be close to the leafs, but Im not sure about the fenderwell clearance inside/outside lip.

Heres a couple mock up pics.

When I was running 20s with a 2/4 drop. I had 275/45/20s did not have any issues but she did look a little narrow from the back side.:****:

lets see some pics when done!!!!

your truck looks good man. if you really would have too, you could run a spacer in the back to make em stick out a tad to clear...

do you remember what the offset or backspacing was?....these are 18mm and 6.29 backspacing.

The front spacing is approx the same for the 8.5's and 10" wide I bought so if this works it should be pretty cool. But if it doesnt work Im screwed.

Thanks I looked a long time for a nice Tahoe, only has 85,000 miles too.

I bought some 1/4" spacers just in case. I really want this look but I sure would feel better if I knew someone else had successfully done this. Suppose to get tires mounted tomorrow and once the tires are on the wheels theres no returning them

I'm 4x4, but the back is all the same. I'm running 275/40r20s and it's pretty tight.
Also running helper bags so it's pretty close to those and the body as well. Rolled the lip on the body and helps. Don't know about 295s, though. Might be extremely close.

1 inch of clearance is more than enough. i have 295 45 20 on my dads silverado and have 5/16 from leaf to tire and no problems at all and its lowered 4 inches in rear.
in rear from ground to fenderlip measures 30.25 inches and front 30.5 inches
