went from 3.42 gears to 3.73 and love it. Not much more on the freeway rpms but out the hole you feel it.

Truck feels more responsive also. Now im thinking I should have done 4.10s lol

upgrade was free with the 6 speed makes a nice difference but 3rd gear goes to 100 mph about so will be perfect for 1/4 mile for me.

I was the complete opposite. Had 4.10s and wished I went 3.73

Too bad there isn't a 3.90 or 3.92 gear set available, but it looks like the front axle is the limiting factor not the rear. I've been looking for a 3.90 set for my Denali to get the engine more into the torque curve when towing my trailer. Can find them for the rear but not the IFS diff.

I've done em all in my Tahoe.
3.42 to 4.56 to 3.73 to 4.10.

4.10's feel the best to me. Sucks on the highway but nice and responsive in the city, where I do the majority of driving.

Yeah i looked everywhere for my 2wd escalade. all the fully loaded ones are awd while 2wd are the stripped model. I knew I was going to start modding and just didnt want to deal with a awd truck

Love my 4.10s :). I test drove the lower ratios and did not like it.

How does it suck on the highway? Seems ok to me, but keep in mind I have the 4l60e.

I've got a 4L80e swap. I'm pushing close to 3000 RPM around 80-85.

Sweet that you have the 4l80e! It must have a different over-drive ratio because I am at ~2,500 rpms or less at 80 mph. I also have 285/65/18 size tires though.
