has anybody looked into putting 275 65 r20's under a tahoe with the ccm kit? They are cheaper than 285 55 20's. i am afraid that 305's will rub and require trimming. just trying to get some feedback before i drop the money.

I believe a 4-inch lift will be required with that tire size (~34 inches). Just look at the previous post with 4-inch lifts to verify tire sizes.

FYI, I have the CCM kit with 285/65/18s (~32 inches) on stock Z71 rims and required trimming (~2 inches on front air dam).

Not sure if 285/65/18 is close to the same size but the Tahoe down the street from me is running those and doesn't seem to have anything.

I just put the CCM kit on my Tahoe and im running 305/55R20 and I dont rub at all. I had to trim only the black plastic in the fenderwells. There are also a few other guys on this site with that lift and different tire combos. Look through the other forums, there are a bunch of different about your topic.

What's the CCM kit? Link? Have any pics of your truck? Would love to see it

CCM kit is a 2.5" front spacer and 1" rear spacer. With this kit on my truck, the rear is ~0.25" higher (not noticable). If you carry heavy loads or tow, I would recommend getting a 1.5" rear spacer. In my case I installed Airlift 1000 air bags and have them set at 20 psi when camping.

In the case that I do go with CCM kit where would I get the 1.5" rear spacer? Don't most of the leveling kits come with 1" rear?
