I had driven a 2016 Yukon Denali for a few years and recently traded for a 2023 High Country Suburban. Both have 22 inch wheels, but I just noticed the newer trucks are shipping with 275/50 tires rather than the 285/45 that were previously on them. Does anyone know when the change was made? I’m thinking it may have to do with fuel economy.

I’m not all that happy with the Alenza tires that are on the burb because the wet pavement performance hasn’t been good. It seems to be a common complaint. The tire selection is better in the 285/45 category. Has anyone switched back to the 285s? I’m assuming it isn’t an issue.

I do not have any information for you on this, but many folks have said that the ride on the 45 profile tires was rougher than higher profile tires.

They switched to the slightly skinner and slightly taller 275/50/22’s with the new model rigs.

U can put the 285/45/22 on there, but they are roughly an inch shorter.

Tire company's are starting to catch up with the new size…there should be a decent selection available by now.
