    Coolant was down about a pint 2 days after last post...about 75 miles. The oil looks like it is getting a little creamy looking but I might just be a little paranoid. Only 2k on the oil but it looks a little thicker than usual. My mechanic gave it a once over and didn't see any visable leaks...

    02 Tahoe radio/factory amp issue

    I know this is an old thread but I used the power antenna (blue wire on radio harness to pink wire on car harness) to fire up the factory amp. I used it because the blue wire is only hot when the radio is powered on and I'm deathly afraid of creating some sort of parasitic drain. Worked fine.

    what plugins should I get for toque pro?

    Not sure what truck you have but in the event you don't have a factory trans temp gauge there is a way to get one with torque pro. Comes in handy on hot days if you tow anything. You have to play with some settings but you can Google it for instructions.

    Just bought 2003 Z71 w/145,000 miles. Fluid change question...

    I did all mine at 110k. The transmission shop mechanic told me if the trans fluid didn't look good before the service he would recommend against it. I guess if the old fluid looks burnt and smells funny a fluid change might just speed up the eventual breakdown and cause customers to blame him...

    Had same issue ebcm was the problem on my 01 tahoe. Very common problem on 00-06 trucks.

    warm up time- noisy lifters

    I have an 01 tahoe with a slight knock on cold start ups regardless of outside temp. I've had a few other 5.3s in different years and they all did it regardless of type of oil but always ran mobil1 synthetic. Maybe piston slap? They all ran great with zero issues. Goes away after 30-60 seconds...

    Noticed a rusty orange color inside oil cap and down filler tube.

    I would check and change the oil and keep an eye on the coolant. I had a 96 Cherokee that had the same issue and no coolant loss and the oil always looked good. It ran fine in spite of how it looked. Condensation coming from somewhere. Put 40k on it like that. Motor eventually died with 262k.

    Power window

    Power window won't go up makes grinding noise going down and goes down very slow. I'm sure everything needs to be replaced. Does anyone know how hard this repair is? Assuming I need to replace all window components. I'm pretty good under the hood but no mechanic. 01 Tahoe.

    The added gas mileage is a plus but looking for a little better response when I'm pulling the trailer. I saw one made by spectre for around $150. Looks like a k+n clone thar got pretty good reviews. I think I'm gonna do it just not sure which one.

    Can't speak for the shocks and brakes but I have no noticeable power loss on my 01 tahoe front the ac. This is my 4th truck from this generation between 01-05 tahoe, subn, silverado never felt any difference with ac on in any of them
