Security light

While driving a few days ago the yellow security light came on and stayed on until I shut off my truck and was gone when I restarted it. I did adjust the steering wheel earlier that day as low as it could go when cleaning the gauge cluster. The light has not come on since. I'm pretty sure it's something in the steering column/key tumbler. How hard is it to get the plastic off the column to look inside.

Comes off easy. Upper and lower pieces are just held on with tabs, no screws or anything else. Just kind of tug on the lower piece.
