Ended up being the part of the transmission that mounts to body broke off.
Factory transmission had a plastic housing.
The replacement had a metal housing with new bolts.
It's back in business.
Thank you for the help.
My driver side wiper arm attempted to self eject on my way to work this morning.
They were both working fine then the Dr side flopped over and hit the door mirror at the speed of light then that was all she wrote....
It's really hard to push it back down to resting position and does the same...
This how I see it:
The spring sits higher at the rear of the body.
The spring sits lower at the front of the body.
Not alot of height difference but some is present.
This creates an arc of travel at ride height vs compression.
If you move the axle away from the spring w/ a block, then you...
It doesn't really feel stiffer to me, just better supported.
But again that's my opinion.
How far kicked back are we talking?
Would you say that mine has the issue?
The angled block will help and like SLC said said as long as the angles match you'll be ok.
But, I feel like you're going to have some axle wrap going on.
What shape is your spring packs in?
Was your butt sagging without the blocks?
I used to prefer blocks until I tried an Add-a-leaf system.
I...
The kit should come with front bumper brackets.
If it doesn't, I'd Definately buy them.
Or purchase a kit that does come with them.
Performance accessories is the original manufacturer for most brands of body lifts, I just buy theirs, they come with front brackets and have been making them...
That's the pre-heat system.
The heat from the manifold is pulled through the hose to the air intake where you see the flap.
The flap should only be open upon initial start up and may be temperature controlled.
Or the spring may expand when warmed and close the flap.
Anyway the preheat is...
Thank you Sunlit.
I've never put lifters in one with the roller lifters, is the 217 the only one that I'll need to replace?
I see that 245 may be related to the job?
I can't see well enough to tell what it's function is...

Well its been awhile....
I made the desicion to buy another daily driver, since this repair may or may not work.
Purchased a 2008 gmc sierra sle ext cab, 89,000 miles.
I've been busy with the dual career and family, it's now starting to rain so I'm getting back in repairing my old yukon...
Well it is disassembled and waiting on parts.
I will work on dissapating the water out of the oil after work in the evenings while I wait.
Manifold was pretty bad corroded, forgot to take pics of it but I don't think it's re usable especially around the most forward water port on the even side...
Water leaked into the block after the pressurizer blew out the gasket or whatever it is that I heard inside the manifold.
The oil is about 4 " past the full marking on the dipstick.
I haven't started the engine since that happened.
Need to know, what should I do?
Can I drain the oil and re...
I don't know exact part #'s, but have planed:
Fel pro ms90008 or mst90008 (something like that) manifold gasket set.
Felpro manifold bolts.
1 extra valve cover gasket.
Am going to replace the quick connect with the barbed fitting and lenght of hose.
If I need a manifold I want to use the dorman...
Well the coolant system pressuring tool was the ticket.
Found the leak running down behind the alternator.
Pulled the alternator and it's the intake gaskets and/or intake corrosion + heater core hose quick connect leaking.
By the time I pulled the alternator, I could hear the pressure leaking...
:sorrysign:
Well if they're dead already, may as well make good use of them.... you recon they taste any good?
Maybe the coolant monster won't steal my cooked seal.
Never underestimate the sneakyness

Ok...
It supposed had the fel pro perma-dry (I think that's what they are called) manifold gaskets installed.
I didn't do it so I can't know for sure.
Although I have seen in person some a lower Intake that actually corroded enough around the water port to break through and fill the engine with...
